Eco Bridge (에코브릿지), J-Sun (제이썬), and, randomly, Acoustic Perfume (어쿠스틱 퍼퓸)

Fail on getting Rap/Hip Hop/other music up on Tuesday.  Sorry, sometimes I've got to have a life, too!  I'm hoping to have a little more time for... Well, everything coming up really soon.  We'll see how that goes.

Eco Bridge (에코브릿지) is just... Ha ha ha!  Fantastic!  Their mv, 어느 날 문득, is so much fun, but in a very understated sort of way.  I adore how they start the music video out with one of the guys composing at the piano, and then move around this cafe, from one member of the band to the next, and they pass the song on, and you can see them singing it.  Sigh, it's pretty much super clever and wonderful. And then they end it with everyone back where they were at the beginning, but not playing or singing, with their song in the background, and the guy that was composing something is finished!  Maybe that was their song!

*Keels over and dies from awesome*

The chill rhythm of the music is something you can listen to on a sunshiny Saturday, one where you don't really have to go anywhere, and you're kind of just lingering in your kitchen, looking out the window at the world, right after a rainstorm, so that the air is clear?  And then you just get to experience life for a couple of minutes, and be happy.  That is what this song makes me think of.

Side note:  Had I not loved them already, and the song, I would have fallen in love with them because they have an upright bass player.  I also am fantastically in love with the fact that they've got this grooving electric guitar with a piano, a keyboard, and that awesome upright bass.  Wow, the sound of this song!  Ack!

On to J-Sun (제이썬), Feat. 정 환: 날살살 녹여.

So.  This?  I love this one just as much.  I adore the playground scenes, and the filter on the camera, and the kids!  So cute!!!  It really makes me want to enjoy my summer, have the most fun I could possibly have.  She's adorable!  So is he!!  And I just love those kids!

The way they shot the music video, making it a sort of music video, but also making it sort of a making of/behind the scenes too?  Very fun.  I love it when artists do that with their music videos.  It's just... Well, in this case, it's cute!

The sound?  Oh, love it!  I love her rapping, and how it's so mellow, but still rap.  I love the kind of chill R&B feel of the song, the music, just everything about it.  This is another song that does something to my insides--right around my heart region.  It lifts me up and makes me feel happy, thinking about good times, and wanting to do things that are just chill, and just to live and be happy, you know?

Finally, I've got... definitely a charmingly bizarre, or bizarrely charming music video for you from Acoustic Perfume (어쿠스틱 퍼퓸).  It's called "Tale," and it's... Lovely.

The music video is... so random and weird, but I kind of love it with that part of my heart that just accepts these kinds of things for what they are and doesn't question.  It tells us a story, following this guy (I'm assuming he's the artist), who goes on a sort of journey.  And it's all animated in this really awesome style where the people are almost real, but everything else is so obviously animated.

The song?  So chill, so beautiful.  It has a wistful, mystical feel to it almost.  There's a guitar playing a simplistic melody in the background, and then his voice, nothing else, really.  I'm sure they've got it touched up and studio-ified, and everything; but it's the pure simplicity of the song, along with the wistfulness of it that is so beautiful.  It reminds me of stories that I've heard and longed to hear again, something lost and almost found, but not quite.

That's it for tonight!  If you'd like to request a song or music video, leave a note in the comments, otherwise I'll go wherever the wind takes me! Have a fantastic week listening to your chill music, and hopefully I'll have something for you on Tuesday!  Cross your fingers!

And I don't know what to call this post...

Yet again it is time for bed (past time, always past time) and yet I'm up and listening to music.  And thinking about a post.

Today I just want to share two awesome songs.  I don't have much to say except that the first just makes me super happy and I pretty much love everything about it, and the second is just... I love Clazziquai Project.

And, really, that's all for now.  Sorry the comments are sparse, I am still having some problems, including not being able to see my computer screen as I write this...  Hopefully I'll be back and kicking soon!

BNR - 아무말도없었다 (Did not say anything) feat.앤(ann)

So so so tired, but I HAD to post about this music video.

It's by BNR (I think that stands for "Brand New Radio"), featuring Ann, and it is amazing!  I took the time to watch it right before I went to bed, and then knew that I had to show you guys!

I love the song, even though it seems so sad (based on the mv).  It's the perfect mesh of hip hop and just good chilling music.  The rhythm is almost lackadaisical, it's so mellow and regular.  No wonder the music video is them walking down a street--it fits so perfectly!

And the music video.  Holy cow, this was... Mind-blowingly amazing.  I think I've seen all of the creativity out there, and then someone comes back with something like this and I am floored.  The filming and the idea and the perfect way it fits to the song?  Seriously, you just have to watch it.

And now, I'm exhausted, so I'm done writing.  But here's the video.  I really hope you like it.

See you soon!  Stay amazing :D

Sorry Dears!

I am so sorry dears!

I was hoping to post when I went on my cruise, but the wifi was INSANELY expensive on the ship, and that wasn't going to happen.

And then I got really sick.  I've been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and for a while there I had no energy for anything and lay around like an invalid all day long.  Yuck!

I'll be back and raring to go this coming week, so expect to have more opinions and awesome music to listen to :D

Until then, here's a wonderful mv to tide you over:

Pretty much love it.

See you Tuesday!!

Geeks, The Night Owl, and Cotton Factory

Every week is a new adventure isn't it?

Writing this blog, and exploring (I have to in order to come up with new things every week) like I do, every week is a constant surprise and filled with endless fascination over the human mind and experience.  We are all so different, with so many different experiences comprising our character.

The music we make, listen to, and enjoy encapsulate that experience and bring it to life once again.  And always finding new music is one of the greatest joys in life, I feel.  Finding something new that perfectly expresses the feelings you have at JUST THAT MOMENT.  It is a beautiful feeling.

So, after having waxed nostalgic (or philosophical, or whatever you want to call what I just did), we can get on to the music I have for you tonight.  I am surely cutting it close this time, per usual ;)

I've got three songs that don't have videos to them!!!  What?!  How?!

Oh, don't you worry, they are ALL beautiful.

The first I want to talk about is Cotton Factory with "Now."  This song is... so beautiful.  It makes me think of a lullaby and a love song and a lament all tied in one.  Just him and his guitar (maybe two guitars) and his beautiful voice.  Wow, and does he have a set of pipes on him!  That... Really is all I have to say about this song.  It's so beautiful.  The ending is so calm and quiet, and I feel like it would lull you to sleep with its gentleness.

This next artist, The Night Owl with "Talk to me," is pretty much epic!  Seriously, he takes music and turns it into something of his own that he can play with and mix and... Sigh.  I love this, and I didn't even realize I liked it!  It's like... Electronica is what the description says, mixed with punk and rock.  I think that description is very apt, and I love the music, but honestly?  My favorite parts of the song are definitely the vocals and what he does with his voice.  Wow, genius.

And, last but definitely not least.  One of my absolute favorite bands, ever: Geeks with "Wash Away."  Oh man, you guys, I love Geeks so much!  They... I can't even describe why I love them! It might be because of the hour, but it could also be because of their absolute wonderfulness.  I love how they combine their rap with their amazing vocals, and they can perfectly stand on that on their own, but then they combine all of it into amazing music, with instrumentals and... I die every time, seriously!  I adore how they can be chill at times, but can also be completely smashing as hip hop artists, too.

Okey dokey.  I'm done enthusing about chill music for the week.  I definitely hope you come back on Tuesday.  I'll be on a cruise (tee hee, yay for summer!), but I have at least one EPIC song that I want to talk about, and I'm sure there will be more.  Have a great weekend and keep listening! :D
